The Upper Clear Creek Watershed group meets regularly to keep residents of the Upper Clear Creek Watershed informed of project work in the watershed, which is being funded through CALFED.  Public meetings are normally held every fourth Thursday of the month at the French Gulch Elementary School.

Landowner participants in the group prioritized a list of fuel hazard reduction projects.  The top priority project, the East Fork Road fuelbreak, should be completed by mid-April.  As soon as the Eask Fork fuelbreak is complete,  work will begin on the other 4 priority projects.

Conservation Tech for the Western Shasta RCD, stands near an area in need of thinning on East Fork Road.

have removed trees and brush.

District crews are also continuing work on the erosion inventory and fuels inventory.
