The Shasta West Watershed is the area west of the
Sacramento River in Redding that includes the drainages of Rock Creek, Middle Creek, Salt Creek, Jenny Creek, Downtown Redding, Canyon Creek, Oregon Gulch and Olney Creek.

A Watershed Assessment has been completed for the watershed that identifies numerous Action Items and Data Gaps. Following up on this assessment, David DeMar (Watershed Coordinator) is currently working with landowners, the Shasta West TAC, and public agencies to develop a watershed-wide Management Plan.

Help determine the future of Redding Area Creeks!

We are looking for Citizen Input as part of the Management Plan Process.
1. Is there illegal dumping on or near your property?
2. Is there illegal or obnoxious off-highway vehicle use near or on your property?
3. Are your neighbors developing defensible space to protect their home from wildfire?
4. Is development causing degradation of a stream near you?
5. Are sensitive wildlife habitats being adversely impacted?
6. Are invasive plants increasing on your property?
7. Do you have ideas about how to manage the Shasta West watershed?

Call, write or e-mail us with your answers to the questions.
We value your participation.

Your input is Critical!
