Ross Perry
Ross joined the WSRCD team in September of 2015 and has enjoyed the diverse range of projects he is exposed to as well as the ability to leave his mark on Shasta County through the RCD’s conservation efforts. After graduating from CSU Chico in 2013 with a degree in Music with special interest in jazz drumming, Ross moved back to Siskiyou County and started working for the Shasta Valley Resource Conservation District, where he assisted with water quality monitoring and riparian restoration on the Shasta River. Since joining the WSRCD, Ross was instrumental in implementing the Clover Creek/Millville Diversion Fisheries Restoration Project as the Project Coordinator. As the PC for that project, he oversaw all elements of construction including coordinating with Project Engineers, daily implementation of biological monitors during construction, relaying information to construction contractors, and general project oversight. In addition, Ross coordinated with the USFWS Red Bluff Field Office to install and maintain a Video Fish Weir at Clover Creek following completion of construction in order to monitor the success of the newly installed fish ladders at the Millville Diversion. Finally, Ross served as the Interim District Manager for the WSRCD for several months as the District transitioned from the prior District Manager to the current one.
