Stay Ready Shasta

Stay Ready Shasta is a new resource from Shasta County Fire that provides practical steps to help protect Shasta County communities from wildfire. It is a one stop shop that provides information on:

  • Local fire safety contacts and resources
  • Requirements of the new Shasta County Defensible Space Ordinance No. SCC 2025-03, Section 8.10.040
  • Information on the Defensible Space Readiness Program, an assistance program for those who receive a citation for non-compliance with the new Shasta County Defensible Space Ordinance, but are physically or financially unable to complete the necessary work
  • Defensible space reccomendations
